StringWorks Trade-in Policy

StringWorks practically invented the trade-in policy, and we have had this policy since our inception in 1998, maintaining the most comprehensive and generous policy in the industry.   Now we have amended our policy to provide you with an even better value!!  We don't charge 'restocking' fees.  Many may follow our lead, but none can provide the history or comprehensive scope of our policy...

StringWorks will grant 100% credit of your purchase price when trading up to a higher level instrument (i.e. Virtuoso violin trading in for a Kallo Bartok violin) or a credit of 2/3 your purchase price when trading in for the same level instrument (i.e. 3/4 Crescendo for 4/4 Crescendo) if returned in as-new condition, AND (New Policy) will grant 80% of the purchase price (actual purchase price before credit applied, minus any additional discounts that may apply) as credit for the trade-in for each subsequent instrument purchase, thereby allowing you continuous trade-in credits for the life of your customer relationship with StringWorks!!!

*Trade-in policy good on all StringWorks instruments, but no other brands.  Any repairs needed on the trade-in will be deducted from the credit amount.  No 'restocking' fees will be charged.  Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.  StringWorks will obtain all repair costs, if applicable, and notify the customer of the costs before final transaction is completed.  Credit cannot be transferred from one individual to another, but must apply to upgrade for individual with instrument being traded in.  Trade-in must be same instrument type, such as violin to violin, cello to cello. All instruments sold by StringWorks are eligible for this trade-in policy as long as they are currently being sold by StringWorks (no models/lines that are no longer sold by StringWorks are eligible for the offer), and the Giuseppe Francesco, David Frederick, and Matteo Mazzotti instruments are not eligible for this offer. Consigned instruments (instruments purchased from the Outlet that are consigned to StringWorks) cannot be traded in for other consigned instruments, but can be for non-consignments.  Some exclusions will apply, and please ask for specific situations prior to purchase if uncertain.  Customers purchasing instruments in special offers with free cases and/or bows will have the amount of the free item deducted from the trade-in value as reflected on the invoice, just as if it were a monetary discount.
