  • Back To School and *GASP* Christmas Planning!

It's fun to see the "1st Day of School" memories on Facebook, and in our neck of the woods some schools start this week while others get back next week.

We look forward to helping those beginners with their rentals, and our luthier is currently setting up Soloists and Michael Todds for those players ready for that exciting "Step-Up" instrument!

At the same time, we are already thinking four months ahead, as hard as it is. It's scary to see holiday decorations out already at many a store, but it always arrives faster than you think. I still can't believe how fast the summer went by, seems like just yesterday we were attending the school year's final concerts.

Our Evan and his wife are expecting their first child in late November or early December, so the weeks leading up to Christmas will be full of new adventures and much less sleep. He'll of course do whatever it takes to play-test, perfect, and pack each instrument in time for the 25th, but please give us as much notice as you can for any violin, viola, or cello Christmas gifts you have been thinking about. Christmas falls on a Tuesday this year, and with FedEx Home Delivery not working on Mondays, most deliveries will have to be made by the 21st or 22nd. Some delivered being made by Ground to a FedEx Office or work can be made on Christmas Eve, but I wouldn't suggest counting on that should snow or any delay come up in the FedEx logistical system.

Our luthier will be competing in this year's VSA competition in early November, showing off his own hand-made violin. We wish him the best and will be proud to have that masterpiece for sale! It will be an exciting fall and start to the Winter for StringWorks for sure! We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you and your player into our growing family :)
